A Friend in Need
A Friend in Need tells the story of the American “invasion” of New Zealand during World War 2. It’s about the young marines who were based here before going on to fight in the Pacific War – how we received them, and how they changed our lives. The exhibition was opened by the Prime Minister and the US Ambassador at historic Old St Paul’s, the “parish church” of the Marine Corps in Wellington.
