Te Ana: Ngai Tahu Rock Art Centre, Timaru
From 2007-10, Story Inc worked with the Ngai Tahu Maori Rock Art Trust to design and develop the content for the new interactive rock art visitor centre in Timaru. The centre opened in December 2010. It showcases the extraordinary art itself and tells some of the stories of its creators. About eight centuries ago, they began to create our most ancient art as they explored the forests and hills of the South Island, the last major landmass on Earth to be discovered by humans. Find out more at Te Ana.
