Rotorua Stories cinema experience, Rotorua Museum of Art and History
Rotorua Stories is a motion-control seating and special effects film experience in the Rotorua Museum of Art and History completed in 1999. It brings together the mythical, historical and geological narratives of the area, and culminates in a recreation of the disastrous 1886 eruption of Mt Tarawera.
In 2004, Story Inc worked with award winning visual effects company Oktobor Interactive to update special effects and audio tracks on Rotorua Stories.
