Volcanoes exhibition, Auckland Museum
In 2005, Auckland Museum commissioned Story Inc to assist in creating a new long-term gallery about volcanoes. The exhibition explores the science and human stories of volcanoes all around the world. It particularly focuses on Auckland as one of the few cities on the planet built on an active volcanic field. The highlight is a glimpse of Auckland’s possible future: a recreated suburban sitting room with a picture window view of the birth of a new volcano in a spectacular eruption!
