The Project

Between late 2018 and mid-2019, Story Inc worked with the Department of Internal Affairs to help bring their vision for a teacher-training He Tohu outreach programme to life at the Auckland branch of the New Zealand National Library.

This was a highly collaborative project with the client managing the content, and Story Inc advising on and designing the spatial and graphic elements for the space.

Our initial work on this project was a consultancy to help the DIA define the project scope and objectives and refine the ‘story’ for the space. During this phase we facilitated a half-day workshop with various team members and stakeholders on site in Auckland and presented back a report to capture all responses and suggest a path forward.

During the second ‘design’ phase we presented 3D visualisations of the space for client sign off, assisted the client with image research and selection, completed graphic design and then project managed the installation of these elements.
